Mereka mengatakan bahwa cegukan biasanya akan dilami oleh para bayi ketika setelah minum Asi. Ketika banyak menelan ASI maka secara langsung bayi akan bereaksi tersebut. Selain itu cegukan tidaklah membahayakan bagi para bayi, namun cukup membuat ibu panik jika terjadi dalam jangka waktu yang lama. Hal ini dikarenakan cegukan yang terjadi secara terus menerus menjadi sebuah gejala penyakit gastroesophageal reflux. Penyakit tersebut juga memiliki gejala lainnya yaitu sering meludah dan batuk saat cegukan. Maka ketika sudah menunjukkan gejala tersebut, segeralah untuk memeriksakan ke dokter agar mendapatkan penanganan yang lebih tepat dan cepat untuk menghindari resiko berbahaya lainnya.
